Position Overview The Role
We are seeking an application support and maintenance specialist to join our global AMS support team. This role will focus heavily on the EDI and integrations area of the business, particularly with our Boomi application. The person in this role will report to the AMS Manager and will have an internal stakeholder relationship with the Boomi ownership team. The AMS team is responsible for supporting end users for our core business applications while collaborating with development teams on break fixes/bugs, configuration changes, and system/job monitoring. The Boomi team is responsible for the design, development, and expansion of Boomi/Boomi EDI and the business functionality involved.
Responsibilities What You’ll Do
Advocate for the end user by providing a delightful and efficient user experience through professional, proactive communication, regular updates, and timely resolution of issues.
Troubleshoot and analyze reported issues to resolution or escalation with root cause analysis.
Proactively highlight and address trending issues or suggest necessary enhancements or configuration changes.
Test small configuration solutions to ensure end user adoption and smooth release transition.
Develop and articulate solution options that incorporate user experience, scalability, security, and best practices.
Monitor EDI transactions, system performance, and data flow to identify and address any issues or anomalies.
Investigate and troubleshoot production incidents related to EDI transactions, including errors, failures, and data discrepancies.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, trading partners, and Boomi support teams to resolve technical issues and implement solutions.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as applying patches, upgrades, and configuration changes to the Boomi environment.
Contribute to knowledge base articles to facilitate efficient issue resolution.
Investigate and diagnose technical issues reported by users related to Boomi integration processes.
Analyze and optimize EDI processes and workflows to improve performance, efficiency, and reliability.
Cross-train on Boomi functional knowledge to provide additional support to all members of the integrations team.
Qualifications What You’ll Bring
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to author and present materials ranging from detailed technical specifications to high-level presentations.
A drive to take ownership of reported issues and see them through to resolution.
Experience with a global support structure stretching over multiple time zones and cultural differences.
A passion for problem-solving using excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with an ability to learn quickly.
5+ years of experience in supporting and maintaining EDI integrations required, experience with the Boomi platform preferred.
Strong understanding of EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT), protocols (AS2, FTPS, SFTP), and communication methods are required.
Strong understanding of EDI for partner ordering (PO), Manual PDF POs, EDI for partner ordering (Shipping & Invoice), and Validation Service (Supporting Invoice) [850/855/997/832/810 +] is required.
Proficiency in using the Boomi platform for EDI support and maintenance tasks, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and configuration are highly preferred.
Understanding of databases like Snowflake and SQL query language is desired.
Boomi certification(s) are preferred.
Pay Range USD $119,000.00 - USD $179,000.00 /Yr.
Pay Transparency Statement Salary ranges are determined based on role, level, and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
