The Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) serves approximately 37,000 students in 100+ schools. The Assistant Coach for Girls Senior Cross Country provides guidance, support, and direction for students participating in CMSD sports programs. Responsibilities include attending OHSAA pre-season meetings, CMSD coaches meetings, following CMSD/OHSAA guidelines, attending practices and games punctually, tracking and communicating student eligibility, submitting rosters and schedules, managing uniforms and equipment, participating in professional development, uploading scores and statistics, cooperating with the head coach, supervising students before and after practices and competitions, and communicating effectively with parents, staff, administrators, and other coaches. Qualifications include a valid CPR certificate, a Pupil-activity coaching permit from the Ohio Department of Education, previous coaching experience preferred, and knowledge of the sport. Education requirement is a diploma, transcripts, or GED. Employment is subject to FBI/BCI background check, drug screen, and obtaining a Pupil Activity Permit before the season.
