The Role

Matrix MKTG is seeking a Creative Director with a strong graphic design background to lead and inspire a dynamic team of creatives, including graphic designers, a 3D artist, copywriter, content manager, and creative producer. In this senior leadership role, you will oversee the development of creative assets, ensuring alignment with brand strategy while pushing the boundaries of creativity.  This hybrid role requires working onsite in our Midtown Atlanta office three days per week.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience working with lifestyle brands and a strong creative vision that drives engagement and cultural relevance. You should be passionate about building and mentoring high-performing teams, executing visually compelling campaigns, and bringing creative concepts to life through multi-channel storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of creatives to create industry-leading work that continues to elevate the agency.
  • Develop and oversee the execution of creative assets, ensuring they align with brand strategy and audience insights.
  • Translate strategic objectives into compelling visual storytelling, digital content, and marketing materials.
  • Guide the creative process from concept to completion, ensuring a high standard of quality and originality.
  • Work closely with strategists, client services, and brand clients to develop visually impactful campaigns that drive engagement.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all creative outputs, from social media content and advertising to experiential marketing and packaging.
  • Inspire, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to creative team members, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and cultural shifts to keep our creative work fresh and forward-thinking.
  • Oversee creative presentations and pitches, ensuring ideas are clearly articulated and aligned with client goals.
  • Manage multiple projects and timelines, ensuring creative execution is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Partner with production teams to bring creative visions to life across multiple platforms and formats.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in creative leadership roles within an agency or brand setting.
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring teams of creative producers, designers, and content managers.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative excellence, particularly in lifestyle branding and digital storytelling.
  • Deep understanding of visual identity, brand development, and consumer engagement strategies.
  • Expertise in creative software (Adobe Creative Suite, motion graphics, and video editing tools a plus).
  • Strong conceptual thinking, with the ability to develop big ideas that translate across multiple platforms.
  • Exceptional storytelling abilities, with a keen eye for design, typography, and aesthetics.
  • Experience working with lifestyle brands, understanding their unique market positioning and cultural relevance.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to pitch and sell creative concepts to clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Full-Time Position

Salary Range: $135,000 - $150,000
