Position Title: Federal Sales Manager – Law Enforcement Solutions

Location: Washington, DC

About Us:

We are a leading provider of innovative crime-solving technologies, dedicated to supporting law enforcement agencies worldwide. Our comprehensive suite of investigative solutions includes advanced data analytics and ballistic identification tools designed to assist in solving a wide range of cases—from property theft to violent crimes. With a strong presence across the United States and in numerous countries, our mission is to enhance investigative capabilities, improve case outcomes, and streamline operations to ensure justice is served.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Federal Sales Manager to spearhead our sales initiatives targeting key federal agencies, including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), other U.S. federal law enforcement entities, and large state-level law enforcement agencies. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of federal and state procurement processes and will leverage our portfolio of cutting-edge software and hardware solutions to address the critical needs of law enforcement professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to engage with federal agencies such as the ATF and other federal law enforcement bodies, as well as large state agencies. Drive revenue growth through strategic account management, relationship building, and solution selling.
  • Government Procurement Expertise: Navigate and manage the complexities of federal and state-level procurement and acquisition processes. Collaborate with internal teams to develop competitive proposals and effectively handle government contracts, including GSA schedules.
  • Client Relationship Management: Establish and nurture strong, lasting relationships with key decision-makers within targeted law enforcement agencies. Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Product Mastery: Attain deep expertise in our suite of software and hardware solutions, particularly those aiding in crime-solving tasks such as ballistics analysis, tip and lead tracking, and data analytics.
  • Account Planning: Develop and implement strategic account plans for key clients, identifying opportunities for growth and maximizing revenue from both new and existing accounts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments, including product development, marketing, and customer support, to ensure our solutions meet client needs and align with public safety objectives.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about federal policies, public safety technology trends, and the competitive landscape to inform sales strategies and identify new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience in federal and state government sales, focusing on law enforcement or public safety technology.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in selling to federal and state government agencies, preferably within the law enforcement or public safety technology sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes in federal agencies, particularly the ATF, and familiarity with the procurement environments of large state agencies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on consultative selling and relationship management.
  • Strong understanding of software and hardware products related to crime-solving, analytics, and public safety.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles and working with law enforcement agencies.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required for client meetings and industry events.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with cutting-edge law enforcement tech, encompassing firearms forensic software, data-driven crime investigation platforms, and intelligence gathering systems.
  • Familiarity with federal contracting vehicles such as GSA schedules and understanding of state procurement processes.
  • Experience managing large sales pipelines and closing complex deals, as well as handling high-volume sales motions.
  • Background in selling SaaS, services, and hardware products.
