Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Infrastructure Engineer to join their team! This position is located in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Duties:

• Manage and maintain Linux-based systems ensuring their reliability, performance, and security
• Manage and maintain set of tools such as Ansible and Shell Scripting
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and performance
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to support and enhance the infrastructure
• Implement and maintain security best practices for Linux systems
• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and processes
• Apply conflict resolution skills to resolve infrastructure issues daily
• Manage infrastructure risk, develop mitigation plans, and escalate decisions and unresolved issues daily
• Work with peers to develop and drive goals, define technical specifications, and detailed implementation plans for infrastructure projects
• Apply skills to impact infrastructure decisions
• Focus on the benefits to be realized and the outcomes to be achieved

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Self-starter with a ‘learn and apply’ attitude in an intense, fast-paced environment
• Experience working with leading stakeholder groups, including technical, product, business, and vendor teams
• Experience with Linux system administration and engineering
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
• Proven track record of managing and maintaining Linux-based systems
• Ability to anticipate and manage infrastructure risks and issues with full transparency
• Confident, solution-oriented independent worker
• Must work independently while managing different sets of business, technology, and vendor stakeholders
• Proven problem-solving and organizational skills
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud
• Experience with VMWare
• Demonstrated ability in team motivation and delegation
