About the Role:

We’re seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Foreman to lead one of our construction crews in delivering exceptional landscaping projects. This role requires a hands-on leader who can perform and oversee the onsite work of 2-4 crew members. This is a primarily physical role of hands-on labor.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of landscape construction experience as a lead (5+ preferred as a laborer), is organized, dependable, and skilled in various landscaping techniques. While the role can accommodate English or Spanish speakers, bilingual candidates are preferred to enhance communication with the team.

Tasks:

Meet daily at the warehouse, drive the truck and crew to the jobsite, and coordinate with the designer, project manager, and construction manager to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Crew Leadership :
  • Lead and supervise a crew of 2-4 members, ensuring efficient and high-quality work.
  • Provide hands-on guidance and instruction to crew members.
  • Drive the company truck and transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sites.

  • Project Coordination :
  • Collaborate with the designer, project manager, and construction manager to review project plans and timelines.
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule and meet company quality standards.
  • Maintain clear communication between the office and the onsite crew.

  • Onsite Labor :
  • Perform and oversee tasks such as site preparation, grading, planting, and hardscape installations.
  • 100% onsite labor.
  • Operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot challenges as they arise and adapt to dynamic project needs.

Qualifications:

  • Required Experience :
  • At least 2 years of landscape construction experience (5+ years preferred).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a crew.
  • Expertise in retaining walls, fences, paver patios, and planting.

  • Preferred Skills and Experience :
  • Expertise in lighting, irrigation, woodworking, and poured concrete installation.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) to communicate effectively with a diverse team.

  • Other Qualifications :
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 100 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to safety and high-quality craftsmanship.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $60,000–$85,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
