Quality Manager – Pageland, SC

Summary: The Quality Manager has responsibility for the Quality Assurance Department, which includes supervising, training, and educating employees on proper quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead the quality team, including hiring, daily supervision, coaching, mentoring, and performing annual reviews.
• Maintain all daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports for the facility.
• Assist with the implementation and review of SPC measurements.
• Improve quality defect detection methods to reduce reject rates.
• Communicate, manage, and close customer complaints.
• Identify and complete quality improvement projects.
• Track department performance metrics.
• Identify deviations and assist with initiating and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
• When necessary, provide training on the use of root cause, corrective action tools such as 5-why and 8D.

Qualifications / Skills:

• Must communicate effectively with the ability to delegate assignments and lead a team.
• Prior management experience in a fast-paced industrial setting is required.
• Must be proficient with word processing and spreadsheet development.
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a technical field is preferred.
• Must be able to use and understand quality measurement tools such as dial calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and other electronic measurement tools.
