Responsibilities and practice The Washington, DC office of Dentons US LLP is seeking a Managing Director with excellent academic credentials and 2-5 years of experience to join our growing Regulatory, Public Policy and Government Affairs Practice. Expected responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to: Assisting corporations, trade associations and non-profits develop strategies to steer them through the legislative and regulatory process and achieve their goals Engaging with federal agencies and congressional staff, attending hearings, conducting research, drafting client materials, and supporting pitches Supporting the growth and management of client relationships in the political government affairs spheres Assisting with other public policy and government affairs matters, and business development efforts as needed This is a great opportunity to work with dedicated lawyers and professionals who are passionate about their practice. Pursuant to District of Columbia law, the salary range for this position will be $80,000-$95,000, based on experience. Position requirements Personal skills/attributes Has excellent written and oral communication skills and an ability to effectively communicate practical ideas and solutions through concise written work product Is organized, efficient, and able to prioritize, delegate, and manage complex and detail-oriented assignments Understands the importance of client service and exhibits confidence and diplomacy Embraces teamwork and values collaboration Technical skills A bachelor’s degree in political science, economics, or related field preferred 2-5 years of regulatory, public policy or government affairs experience required Prior law firm or Capitol Hill experience is a plus Equal opportunities Dentons US LLP is an Equal Opportunity Employer – Disability/Vet.
