Job Description

A prestigious law firm is seeking a Temporary Talent Acquisition Specialist to support its attorney and professional staff hiring initiatives. The Recruiting Specialist will play a key role in executing the firm’s recruitment strategy and talent acquisition, handling full-cycle recruiting tasks, and ensuring a seamless experience for candidates and hiring managers alike. This is a great opportunity for someone with legal recruiting or HR experience looking to support a dynamic and fast-paced team during a peak hiring period. The assignment is expected to last 3-5 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for professional staff and/or attorney roles, from requisition to onboarding.
  • Post job openings on external and internal job boards, law school portals, and recruiting platforms.
  • Screen resumes, coordinate interviews, and communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Partner with HR, legal personnel, and department heads to understand hiring needs and timelines.
  • Track candidate progress and maintain accurate data in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Assist with onboarding logistics including background checks, offer letters, orientation planning, and Day 1 coordination.
  • Support summer associate and lateral recruiting efforts, including planning and executing events or interviews as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies and applicable employment laws.
  • Provide a high level of client service and professionalism, internally and externally.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of recruiting or HR experience, or talent acquisition, ideally in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of applicant tracking systems (i.e., LawCruit, viDesktop, Workday, or similar).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Compensation:

$30 - $50/hr. depending on relevant experience.
