McGuire's Towing is looking to hire a reliable tow truck operator to join our towing and recovery team. Experience is a plus, but not required. On the job training will be provided as well as training classes. We will require you to operate one of our company vehicles, assisting our clients with breakdowns, accidents, lockouts, and different road side emergencies. Your duties will include driving to the site of the breakdown or accident, assessing the damage to the vehicle, and towing the vehicle. This job also requires you to be on an "on-call" call out schedule.

Tow Truck Operator Responsibilities:

• Receiving communications from company dispatcher.
• Driving to the scene of a vehicle breakdown or accident.
• Interacting with customer to find out the nature of the problem.
• Performing roadside vehicle assistance .
• Jump-Starting vehicles, Changing Tires, Towing, Unlocking vehicles, Recovery work, Winching vehicles out.
• Towing the vehicle to an authorized service center.
• Reporting to base and completing paperwork.

Tow Truck Operator Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with automotive maintenance and repairs (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and electrical systems.
• Valid driver’s license. (CDL preferred but not always required).
• Clean Driving Record (Motor Vehicle Report required).
• Good communication skills and strong customer service skills.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Physically fit and able to life 50+ pounds.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior experience operating tow trucks or similar vehicles (preferred).
• DOT Medical Card Required.
