Laurel Hill Gardens in Chestnut Hill is seeking a Junior Horticulturalist with a PLNA, a BS or AS in Horticulture to join our estate and property management team.This role is ideal for someone with formal horticultural training, hands-on experience, and a deep appreciation for plants, seasonal beauty, and refined landscapes. You’ll be part of a team of gardeners to care for established gardens and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of private client properties. 

• Maintain estate and client gardens to the highest horticultural standards, ensuring health, form, and seasonal interest.
• Assist in selecting plants suitable for site conditions, client preferences, and overall landscape design goals.
• Perform skilled pruning of shrubs, perennials, and small trees, with an understanding of timing, technique, and plant physiology.
• Monitor plant health, identify pests/diseases, and apply integrated pest management practices.
• Install seasonal plantings and help develop planting schemes in collaboration with senior staff and clients. 
• Ensure proper soil care, mulching, irrigation, and fertilization practices.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members.

• Certification or degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of professional gardening or landscape maintenance experience (estate or fine gardening preferred).
• Strong knowledge of plant identification, care, and garden maintenance practices.
• Pruning experience with woody and herbaceous plants; familiarity with best practices for structural and aesthetic pruning.
• Ability to lift, bend, and perform physical work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
